International Olympic DayThe International Olympic Day is celebrated on 23rd June every year to make people aware of the importance of games in life. Olympic Day is much more than a sports event. It is a day for the world to get active.The first game were held in Athens in 1896 and 24 countries are participated at that time actually this day was introduced in 1948 to commemorate the birth of the modern Olympic Games on 23 June 1894 at the Sorbonne in Paris. So the first Olympic Day was celebrated on 23 June 1948 by 9 National Olympic Committees (NOC). And this day is based on three pillars ,Move, Learn and Discover .
